Ask a few specific questions and the right surgeon becomes clear.
First, will the same surgeon who evaluates you perform the surgery? At many high-volume centers they are different people. You deserve one surgeon who knows your eyes from start to finish.
Second, is the surgeon fellowship trained in cornea and refractive surgery, not just general ophthalmology?
Third, and this matters most, does the surgeon offer a full range of procedures? A surgeon who only does LASIK can only recommend LASIK. Because I perform LASIK, EVO ICL, custom lens replacement, and cataract surgery, I can match the procedure to your eyes instead of fitting your eyes to the one thing I offer.
Finally, ask who does your measurements and planning, and what follow-up looks like.
For what it’s worth, my answers: I perform every case myself, I am fellowship trained in cornea and refractive surgery, and I built Schorr Vision so that all of these options are under one roof.
